The CV 90120-T light tank is based on the CV 90 series of armored vehicles (see separate record).

The CV 90120-T mounts a Ruag Land Systems turret on the CV 90 chassis. The turret was originally armed with a fully stabilized 120-mm high-pressure smoothbore CTG 120/L50 gun. The gun is fitted with a vertical sliding breech mechanism, pepperpot muzzle brake, thermal sleeve and fume extractor. The gun can fire all standard NATO 120-mm smoothbore ammunition.
