MLZh-VT pontoon bridge

Country of Origin: Russia

The MLZh-VT (Most-Lenta Zheleznodorozhnyj Voenno-Transportnyj) railway ribbon bridge military transport system is designed to enable trains and other vehicles to cross rivers and deep water obstacles.

The bridge is formed by connected multiple quick-acting interlocking pontoon units, rather than being bolted together.

A detachable raft in the bridge allows ships to pass through. It replaces the now-obsolete NLZh-56 pontoon bridge. The MLZh-VT can be deployed over three days.
