The Hydrema 910MCV-2 mine-clearance vehicle is the latest version of the base Hydrema 910MCV.
The mine-clearance system, sometimes described as a "medieval mechanism," uses a flail device with 72 chains that rotate and hammer at the ground to clear terrain of mines. The flail device either detonates or tears mines apart. The chains rotate clockwise if mines are buried, and anti-clockwise if they are on the surface.
