The Heavy Logistic Vehicle Wheeled (HLVW), also known as the Percheron, is the Canadian army's primary heavy logistic vehicle. It comes in 11 specialized logistics variants.
The HLVW is derived from the Steyr 1491.310/040 6 x 6 M truck. Modifications for Canadian service include storage for two camouflage nets behind the cab; cold weather equipment that enables starting at -40 deg F (-40 deg C); brush guards for the cab front; a cargo bay walkway; and a radio installat ion kit.
