The Hungarian FUG (Felderito Uszo Gepkocsi, or amphibious reconnaissance vehicle) was a 4 x 4 wheeled armored reconnaissance vehicle (ARV). It was related to the former Soviet BRDM-2 ARV, but it preceded the Soviet vehicle into service.
The FUG had a similar suspension arrangement of two powered axles permanently fixed in elevation and two middle axles that could be lowered for obstacle clearance. A power takeoff from the main drive train propelled the auxiliary axles.
