The Badak (Bahasa Indonesian for Rhinoceros) fire-support vehicle was developed by PT Pindad to meet an Indonesian army requirement as part of its minimum essential forces program. It is intended for territorial defense and reconnaissance missions. The vehicle is based on the chassis of the Anoa-2 6 x 6 armored personnel carrier (see separate record).
