Type 96 8 x 8 armored personnel carrier

The Type 96 8 x 8 wheeled armored personnel carrier is built by Komatsu in Japan and in service with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.

The Type 96 has an all-welded steel hull. It is 22 ft 5 in (6.84 m) long, 8 ft 2 in (2.48 m) wide and 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m) tall. The vehicle has a combat weight of 31,970 lb (14,500 kg).
