The Type 63 armored personnel carrier (APC) is a small, lightly armored vehicle that has seen service in several countries. It has several variants. While the official Chinese designation is Type 63, it is called the YW 531 in the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The Type 63 can be identified by its relatively straight roof line, shallow glacis and four wheel stations.
