The Pars (Turkish for Leopard) family of wheeled armored vehicles is based on the U.S.-built General Purpose Vehicle (GPV) (see separate record). The family includes modular 4 x 4, 6 x 6, 8 x 8 and 10 x 10 vehicles, which use an expandable automotive core. The 8 x 8 variant was offered to the Turkish army.
