The Austrian-built Pandur II (6 x 6) armored personnel carrier is a new variant of the Pandur vehicle. In addition to the baseline version, Steyr-Daimler-Puch is also manufacturing an 8 x 8 version. Possible vehicle configurations will include an anti-tank guided-weapon carrier, battlefield ambulance, company or battalion command vehicle, driver training vehicle, forward observer vehicle, fully amphibious armored vehicle and a platoon command vehicle.
