The Nimer I is an armored vehicle developed for police, border, internal security and military missions. It is based on a commercial chassis. The initial prototype utilized a Mitsubishi 4 x 4 chassis, while the first production batch was based on a Toyota Land Cruiser 4 x 4 chassis.

The Nimer I has a crew of two plus six; the somewhat smaller, upgraded Nimer II has two plus four.
