The Croatian LOV (lako oklopno vozilo-- light armored vehicle) armored personnel carrier is the base design for a wide range of other vehicles with minimum modification.

The base LOV-OP (opce potpore-- transporter APC) has an all-welded steel hull with armor providing protection against 5.56-mm and 7.62-mm armor-piercing incendiary small-arms fire from a range of 33 yd (30 m). The armor also protects against shell splinters from a range of 44 yd (40 m) and anti-personnel mines.
