This LAV III 8 x 8 wheeled armored vehicle is an improvement of the original LAV-25 design. It has a larger chassis than its predecessor.

The hull of the LAV III is made from all-welded, high-hardness steel armor, which protects against small-arms fire and shell splinters. Protection can be increased with add-on armor.
