The Grizzly series of wheeled armored personnel carriers were versions of the Swiss MOWAG Piranha vehicle. Used vehicles bought from Canada remain in service in Uruguay.

In Canadian service, the Grizzly vehicle family was also known as the Armored Vehicle, General Purpose (AVGP). The Canadian Grizzly was fitted with a Cadillac Cage 1-meter turret. The Cougar and Husky are fitted with different weapons and equipment; see the "Variants" section for further details.
