The Grenadier 4 x 4 armored personnel carrier (APC) was developed in Switzerland for export. It is similar in general appearance to the Swiss Roland APC, which was also built in the 1960s for overseas sales.
The Grenadier has an all-welded steel hull with sloped sides, a vertical rear and a sloped, two-piece glacis that forms a shallow inverted "V" shape.
