The 20-mm Daewoo Vulcan air defense system (VADS) was produced under license from General Electric Armament Systems (now General Dynamics Armament Systems). It is a short-range, clear-weather air defense gun designed to protect both forward and rear combat elements and assets. It can also protect against lightly armored ground targets.
