The Chinese 37-mm twin anti-aircraft gun system is a development of the Type 65, which is a copy of the Soviet twin-barrel M1939.
The Type 74 has been adapted to accept radar fire control and offers a slightly higher rate of fire than the Type 65. The Type 313 fire-control radar is primarily used with the Type 74.
