This Argentine 155-mm towed howitzer is based on the French 155-mm Mk F3 self-propelled gun.

It comes in two versions, the Model 77 and Model 81. The Model 77 consists of the same top carriage -- barrel, cradle, recoil system and equilibrators -- as the Mk F3, but is mounted on an Argentine-designed bottom carriage.

The Model 81 differs in having a locally produced copy of the Mk F3 barrel and slightly revised equilibrators and trail legs.
