The 155/52 APU SBT is a Spanish towed artillery piece developed from the 155-mm SB 155/39 howitzer, which was never produced. The weapon is also known as the S88-1.

The towed howitzer has a conventional split trail carriage. When deployed in firing position, it is supported on a circular firing platform mounted under the carriage and on the two trails, each of which is fitted with a spade and a small wheel. The wheel helps bring the gun into action.
