130-mm Type 59-1 towed field gun

The 130-mm Type 59-1 towed gun is the successor to the Type 59, which is basically a direct copy of the Soviet M-46. The Type 59-1 incorporates features of the original Type 59 and a much older Chinese gun, the 122-mm Type 60, which is based on the Soviet D-74. The GM-45 upgrade is described in “Variants,” below.
