100-mm Type 86

The 100-mm Type 86 anti-tank gun is a modified Chinese Type 56 85-mm field gun with a longer, smooth barrel and modified recoil system with a distinctive muzzle brake that is swung under the gun. The Type 86 may be a further derivation of the Type 73 anti-tank gun and its chassis may have been deve loped from the Type 77 or the YW531H armored personnel chassis.
