The Short-Range Automated Defense System is a remotely operated weapons turret developed by the National Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) in Taiwan. It can be equipped with one or two 20-mm cannons.
Two variants have been developed: a fixed, land-based variant, the XTR-102, and a ship-based variant, the XTR-101. See "Variants," below, for more information.
