81-mm Type W87

The Type W87 81-mm mortar consisted of three components: tube, bipod and base plate. The mortar was similar to the 82-mm Type W84 mortar, but the Type W87 had a smaller bore size, bipod and a triangular-shaped base plate.

The Type W87 fired Type 87 high-explosive (HE) ammunition.

status

No longer in Chinese service; it is available for export. As of this update, no user nations have been identified.
