The Swiss Model 87 60-mm mortar, no longer in service, was a small, simply made infantry smoothbore mortar that was adopted by the Swiss army in the late 1980s.
The mortar consisted of a tube, small circular base plate and a bipod collar with parallel curved legs. Aiming the weapon in azimuth entailed placing the mortar so that a thin white line painted on the axis of the upper barrel pointed in the target's direction.
