120-mm PRAM-S

No longer in service, the 120-mm PRAM-S self-propelled mortar system was based on a modified BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle chassis.

The BMP-2 had its turret removed and roof raised to allow the 120-mm mortar to fit inside the vehicle, where it was aimed, loaded and protected under armor. The design for the PRAM-S also lengthened the original BMP-2 chassis and raised the rear of the vehicle, giving the system a total of seven roadwheels instead of six.
