The XC-8 is a lightweight turret concept developed by Belgian firm CMI for medium tanks. It can be equipped with a 105-mm or 120-mm gun. The turret is based on the modular technology of the CT-CV 105HP turret (see separate record).
Turret weight is minimized through the use of a bustle-mounted autoloader, which permits a two-person crew. It is constructed from modular welded aluminum. The turrets is designed for integration on vehicles weighing 15 metric tons or more.
