The BM-7 Parus is a remotely operated weapon station that is designed to be easily integrated with armored vehicles. Installation does not require penetration of the hull, enabling operations and maintenance to be conducted from under armor protection.

The main armament is a 30-mm ZTM-1 automatic cannon with an ammunition load of 300 to 350 rounds. Also integrated are a coaxial 7.62-mm machine gun with an ammunition load of 500 to 2,000 rounds; a 30-mm automatic grenade launcher...
