The 25-mm KBA automatic cannon is the main armament on several armored infantry fighting vehicles, air defense vehicles, shipboard defense systems and aircraft.

The gas-operated weapon has a rotating bolt head that is positively locked for firing. Firing modes include single shot, rapid single shot (up to 200 rounds/minute) and full automatic at 600 rounds/minute. The characteristic fluted barrel has a cylindrical multi-baffle muzzle brake.
