The Tu-214 is a longer-range, heavier version of the Tu-204 midrange airliner. It has been procured by Russia for a number of presidential support missions. The aircraft is based on the Tu-204-200 model, which made its first flight in March 1996. It offers longer range than the initial Tu-204 and can be identified by an extra door on the left side.
