The DHC-7, also known as the Dash 7, is a four-engine turboprop short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft developed for commuter airlines. A few have been taken into military service, mainly for use as utility transports and maritime reconnaissance aircraft by the Venezuelan navy. The Dash 7 is also used by the U.S. Army as the RC-7B Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL) aircraft (see separate database entry).
