The Pillan is a Chilean-developed military trainer, in domestic service and available for export as a basic flight and instrumentation flight trainer.

It was co-developed with Piper Aircraft of Vero Beach, Fla., and has components from several Piper aircraft designs; its design number -- PA- 28R-30 0-XBT -- indicates its derivation from the four-place Dakota.
