The PC-7 Turbo-Trainer is a Swiss basic flight trainer in widespread military service. Although derived from the earlier, piston-powered P-3, the PC-7 represents a substantial redesign.
The low wing has a rectangular stub center section to which the double-tapered outer panels are fitted at a 7-deg dihedral angle. The trailing-edge split flaps nearly meet at the fuselage centerline under the wing. Outboard of the flaps are mass-balanced ailerons that extend to the tips.
