The IA-74 is a basic trainer in development by Argentina's state-owned FADeA for the Argentinean air force as well as civilian customers. It is an evolution of the IA-100 technology demonstrator (see "Variants," below).

The aircraft would be powered by a 180-hp Lycoming IO-360 piston engine driving a two-bladed propeller and equipped with a Garmin avionics suite. It would be built to FAA FAR-23 small aircraft certification standards. Civilian versions would have a less powerful...
