The Shahed 129 is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by Iran. Roughly analogous to the U.S. MQ-1 Predator, it is intended for combat and reconnaissance missions. The design may be based on Israel's Hermes 450.
The drone features a long, cylindrical airframe with a set of long, narrow wings at the midbody and a V-tail. The fuselage structure has a diameter of 2 ft 2 in (0.65 m) to 2 ft 6 in (0.75 m). The landing gear is retractable.
