The Coot-A was a reconnaissance/electronic warfare (EW) aircraft derived from Il-18 Coot airliner (see separate database entry).
The Coot's low, double-tapered wing has a high aspect ratio, squared wing tips, and double-slotted trailing-edge flaps located inboard of long ailerons. The tall, double-tapered fin has a dorsal fillet and a full-height rudder. The double-taper horizontal stabilizer is mounted on the fuselage below the rudder and has full-span elevators.
