The H145 is a modified version of the BK-117 multi-role helicopter (in Japan, the H145 is known as the BK-117 C-2), with a substantially increased cabin volume, takeoff weight and range. The helicopter can be outfitted with a number of missions including search-and-rescue, police and federal roles, surveillance, firefighting, mobile command center, cargo, passenger and VIP transport, medical evacuation, training and offshore support.
