The Su-33 Flanker-D is part of the Flanker family of fighters based on the original Su-27. This carrier-capable aircraft is intended for air-superiority, air-defense and anti-ship missions. It is designated the Su-27K by the Russian navy. The Flanker's wing and fuselage are blended into each other to a greater degree than the MiG-29 Fulcrum (see separate database entry).
