The Su-30 Flanker is one of the many aircraft developed from the Su-27. This version was originally developed as a two-seat long-range multirole interceptor, with variants adding multirole ground and anti-ship attack capability.
The Flanker's wing and fuselage are blended into each other to a greater degree than the MiG-29 Fulcrum (see separate database entry). The Su-30 makes extensive use of titanium alloys in its construction.
