The MiG-25 Foxbat is a single-seat, twin-engine interceptor for high-speed, high-altitude missions. It was designed specifically to intercept the U.S. B-70 Valkyrie high-altitude, Mach 3 strategic bomber, which did not enter operational service. It has since been adapted for photo and electronic reconnaissance as well as for training.
