The MiG-17 Fresco is a fighter-interceptor that was flown in large numbers by the Soviet Union and other nations in the 1950s and 1960s. It is a single-seat aircraft derived from the MiG-15 Fagot (see separate database entry). Although developed and designed as an interceptor, it has been adapted to the attack role.
