The Guarani was a multi-role Argentine transport. When in service, it was also used for instrument calibration, photographic survey, training and liaison missions.
The Guarani was fairly typical in configuration for a medium transport, but had some distinctive details. As is the case with many medium transports, it had twin turboprop engines in engine nacelles on the wing, with the wing set low and just forward of the fuselage mid-point.
