The C-2 is a medium cargo aircraft meant to replace Japan's C-1 transports (see separate record).  The aircraft has a crew of between two and five and can carry up to 110 passengers. The aircraft is fitted with two lavatories for use by flight crew and personnel in flight. The aircraft features a conventional high-wing design, with two turbofan engines slung under the wings, and a T-tail.
