Ukrainian Proving Ground

U.S. officials say that deliveries of Ground-Launched Small Diameter
Bombs (GLSDBs), which will extend the range of Ukraine’s Western-
provided multiple rocket launchers, will begin this autumn. The system
will enable Ukrainian forces to strike targets at a distance of 90 miles,
nearly twice the range of previously supplied guided rockets. Above,
Boeing and Saab test-fire the GLSDB, a combination of the SDB I
aerial bomb and M26 rocket motor, for the first time in early 2015.
