Brazil’s decision to buy 36 Saab Gripen NG fighters finally became a done deal
in December 2015. Pictured above is a full-scale mock-up the JAS-39E single-seat
next-generation Gripen, as shown earlier this month at the LAAD defense and security show
held in Rio de Janeiro. Saab plans to deliver all 36 of the aircraft between 2019 and 2024.
