Six Su-57 advanced fighter prototypes escorted President Vladimir Putin
as his aircraft landed at the Chkalov State Flight Test Center in central
Russia in May, where he would announce the purchase of an additional
60 aircraft for the Russian air force. Four of the aircraft are seen above.
The order of dozens more aircraft than previously planned for the period
through 2028 raises questions about Russian industry's ability to keep up.
