Putin Backs Down … For Now

Russia conducted a large-scale deployment of ground and naval
forces to occupied Crimea and the Ukrainian border in April for
what it said were military exercises. Ground troops are now
returning to their home stations, although the additional naval
forces remain in the region. Above Russian amphibious ships sit
off the coast of Crimea during drills earlier this month.
