Navy Goes Italian For Frigates

On April 30, the U.S. Navy announced that it had chosen a design
for its future frigate competition. Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri
will construct the new warships at its Marinette Marine shipyard
in Wisconsin. The design, an artist's impression of which is seen
above, is based on Italy's Carlo Bergamini-class multirole frigates.
