On Feb. 10, the parliament in eastern Libya chose former Interior Minister
Fathi Bashagha as a new interim prime minister following the failure of the
unity government led by Abdul Hamid Dbeibah to hold elections as planned
in December. Dbeibah rejected the move, saying he would only relinquish
