In 2014, India launched a new a program to build up its domestic defense
industry and reduce reliance on foreign firms. This has included offset
agreements and strategic partnerships between Indian and international
companies. Shown above is an artist’s impression of the F-21, an India-
specific version of the F-16 Block 70 offered to the Indian air force by
Lockheed Martin. In 2021, Lockheed approved Tata Advanced Systems to
produce F-16 wings for the export market at a joint facility...
