For decades, India has battled Maoist militants in the eastern part of the country. While some gains have been made, the rebels continue to conduct deadly attacks. Above is shown the wreck of a car carrying Chhattisgarh state officials that hit a Maoist improvised explosive device in the Dantewada district on April 9, 2019.
